Abigale Lee Miller bio
Abigale Lee Miller(born on 21st September 1965) is an American choreographer, dance instructor and a reality television star. Abby Lee Dance Company is her own creation that was on for eight seasons of Dance Moms. Miller pleaded guilty in June of 2016 to fraudulent bankruptcy in the felony category. Miller was sentenced to one year and one day in federal prison, and was released on the 27th of March of 2018. In April of 2018, she was diagnosed with lymphoma which is a type of cancer that renders it impossible to walk. She uses a wheelchair to aid in mobility. Miller was raised around dance in Penn Hills, Pennsylvania, located in a Pittsburgh suburb, studying under the guidance of her mother at the Maryen Lorrain Dance Studio. Miller was 14 years old when she was given choreography and coaching duties for one of her mother’s competition dance teams. Miller eventually assumed control of the studio in 1995 and changed the name to the company Reign Dance Productions. Miller was certified by Dance Masters of America in 1986. She became an active member of Dance Masters of Pennsylvania Chapter 10 in February 2012. However Miller's membership was terminated by DMA in February 2012 following the DMA said that Miller's reality television show Dance Moms was "a complete distortion of dance educators and students and was detrimental to the profession of dance."
